The Process
So that we can better serve you, and so that you can have a
better understanding of how we do things, we have laid out this standard process for all
clients to look over on the web. In chronological order, this is how your idea turns into
a great web site.
| 1.) |
Request a Quote and Submit Order You request a quote for your project and submit your order. The order is then
sent to our staff for review. |
| 2.) |
Order is Processed Your order is reviewed by our staff. If not complete, we will send it back
via e-mail and ask that you complete any incomplete fields. If the order is complete and
all information correct, you will be assigned a designer. |
| 3.) |
You are Assigned a Designer Your order has now been processed and a price has been agreed upon. One of
our qualified web designers will contact you and ask you questions about the details of
your site, so he can get a better idea of what you want. He will then start the design and
development process, where the actual work gets done. |
| 4.) |
Design / Development This is the stage in which the actual web site gets done. The designer has
contacted you and has gathered information, and now will start creating several user
interfaces/designs for your new web site. He will e-mail the URL that you may view the
designs at as they are completed. Usually, the designs will be in screenshot form, so you
can get a feel for your site and it will save us the time it takes to program the UI into
HTML. After you have selected a design, you will be responsible for e-mailing the designer
documents which contain the text that you want on each page of your web site. When you
have e-mailed him this, he will try to preserve formatting as much as possible and will
input your text for each page into the design. You may e-mail us both text and images, but
you are responsible for making sure that there is no copyrighted material that you don't
have permission to use on the information you sent us. |
| 5.) |
Checking / Correcting The designer will e-mail you when he has finished with the content you gave
him. You will then be responsible for looking over the site and making sure it meets your
requirements and expectations. If you need anything changed, feel free to contact the
designer about alterations, and changes will be made. Eventually, you will get the site
exactly the way you like it, and it will be posted and uploaded to the Internet. |
| 6.) |
Hosting / Promotion After your site is up and running, you will be informed of our hosting and
promotion options for your site. These are completely optional, but regardless of whether
you choose us or another host for your site, promotion is recommended. We are partnered
with Mountain Worldwide, a company which specializes in web site promotion, and who acts
as our promotion department. |
| 7.) |
Billing Now everything is running smoothly, and an invoice has been sent out to your
address. You should pay the amount due on your invoice within 30 business days. |
| 8.) |
Maintenance If your site requires maintenance, we will setup a maintenance agreement for
your web site. Pricing will be negotiated. |
| 9.) |
Evaluation We will ask you to evaluate us and give us your comments on how we did with
your web site in this stage. Please include any areas that you liked, or that you thought
we could improve upon. |
| 10.) |
Final Completion Upon completion of your web site and payment of your bill, the copyright for
your web site will shift from InfoStar to you, and you will own all graphics and material
on that web site. Thank you for choosing InfoStar, and we hope you enjoy your site! |
